Born in 1945 in Marrakech, Omar Bouragba paints as a self-taught since 1959. He became a member of the National Association of Fine Arts in 1964.
His stay in Rabat allows him to know the artistic environment of the 1960s and his meeting with Jilali Gharbaoui and Ahmed Yacoubi is decisive in his orientation as a painter. His first exhibition took place in 1965 in Rabat.
He lives and works in Marrakech.
