After studying pharmacy in France, Mounia Amor chose to devote herself to her family before allowing a deeper calling to emerge: painting. In 1995, after the birth of her youngest son, she decided to take the leap and began exploring art by acquiring her first canvases and brushes. Unsatisfied with her early attempts, the perfectionist in her led her to pursue academic training in the studio of painter Ahmed Mourabiti, where her talent and artistic sensitivity quickly became evident.
It was in the intimacy of her Casablanca studio that her first works were created, soon earning admiration from those around her. Encouraged to share her work with the public, she held her first exhibition in Essaouira in 2000, marking the beginning of an artistic journey supported by immediate success. Since then, Mounia Amor has continued to exhibit her work and to develop a body of art shaped by discipline, passion, and consistency.
Mounia Amor's artistic approach is guided by a constant pursuit of harmony and perfection. Deeply sensitive, she explores various pictorial paths, moving from an impressionist palette filled with softness and light to compositions that incorporate more structured, cubist-inspired forms. This evolution reflects her ongoing research, her desire for renewal, and her profound commitment to her art.
Her work is characterized by a particular attention to composition, color balance, and the vibrancy of forms. Each canvas conveys a precise intention, where the gesture is both intuitive and controlled.
Driven by a sincere creative impulse, Mounia Amor has built, exhibition after exhibition, a distinctive artistic identity. Her work is a meeting point of sensitivity, structure, and pictorial poetry.
